White House Press Secretary sparks backlash as photo detail spreads online

Karoline Leavitt Sparks Controversy Over French Luxury Bag

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is once again in the spotlight—this time for a fashion choice that raised eyebrows. Over the weekend, she posted an Instagram photo that drew both praise and criticism.

A Sharp Remark Toward France

The controversy began with Leavitt’s recent swipe at France. After a French politician suggested the Statue of Liberty should be returned, Leavitt fired back without hesitation.

“My advice to that unnamed low-level French politician would be to remind them that it’s only because of the United States of America that the French are not speaking German right now,” she said. “They should be very grateful to our great country.”

Her blunt comment made waves online. But it wasn’t just her words that stirred the pot.

Louis Vuitton Bag Raises Eyebrows

In the photo, Leavitt appeared holding a Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM tote—a $2,030 luxury handbag from one of France’s most iconic brands.

The irony didn’t escape some viewers.

“Why have a Louis Vuitton bag if everything from France is so bad????” one commenter asked.

Despite the criticism, her supporters quickly came to her defense.

Supporters Applaud Her Style and Message

One fan wrote:

“Absolutely stunning representation of our country! Thank you for standing with President Trump!”

Another commented:

“Wow, Karoline, you look fantastic. It’s good to see such professionalism in action.”

A third added:

“Young, intelligent, and absolutely stunning. It’s so refreshing to see!”

Family Time Over Online Drama

At just 27, Leavitt remains the youngest White House Press Secretary in U.S. history. Though critics often question her age and experience, she seems undeterred.

Instead of engaging in online arguments, she spent the weekend with her son. She shared a sweet photo of them baking together, captioned:

“Sunday morning muffins with my sous chef.”

Later, she posted another moment of joy—her toddler in a stroller pushed by his great-grandmother, with the caption:

“Niko being pushed by his great grandma!”

Staying Focused Amid the Noise

While the internet debates handbags and politics, Leavitt continues focusing on her duties in the White House—and on her life as a young mother.
