Reba McEntire and Boyfriend Rex Linn Shock Fans by Turning Viral ‘Better Be Nice’ Trend Into Major TV Announcement

Reba McEntire and her longtime partner, Rex Linn, jumped on the popular “Better Be Nice” trend to share some big news — their sitcom Happy’s Place is officially coming back for season two.

In the playful clip, Reba sets the stage by introducing Rex. “This is my boyfriend,” she says with a smile. “He’s gonna tell you about the second season of Happy’s Place. You better listen and be nice.”

Rex then steps forward to deliver the update. “Hello everybody. This is Rex Linn. I play Emmett on Happy’s Place. Coming this fall, our second season… We’re so happy about it. Our reviews are good. Ratings are great. People are watching. It’s going to be so much fun.”

He even teased a possible twist for fans, hinting at romance between their characters. “And there’s rumors that maybe Emmett and Bobbie get together,” Rex joked. “I mean, we don’t know that for a fact, but it would be great for Bobbie… if she was with Emmett. That’s how I look at it.”

Of course, he ended on a lighthearted threat: “Season two, baby, of Happy’s Place… do not miss it or I’ll come after you with my spatula.”

NBC has officially confirmed that Happy’s Place will return November 7, with Reba and Rex starring alongside Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, and Tokala Black Elk.

The sitcom follows Bobbie (Reba), who inherits her father’s tavern, only to discover she has an unexpected partner — Isabella (Escobedo), the younger half-sister she never knew she had.

Reba not only stars in the series but also executive produces with Kevin Abbott, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Matt Berry, and Pamela Fryman. She also co-wrote and performs the show’s theme song with Doug Sisemore and Carole King, saying, “I hope my fans will love this song as much as they did the theme song for the Reba show.”

Fans can also catch Reba earlier this fall when The Voice returns on September 22, where she’ll be back on the coaching panel alongside Michael Bublé, Niall Horan, and Snoop Dogg.
