Indiana woman arrested after traveling to DC to kidnap and ass assinate Trump

A 50-year-old woman has been charged with federal crimes after allegedly making repeated and violent threats against President Donald Trump, according to prosecutors. Authorities say the woman, identified as Nathalie Rose Jones of Lafayette, Indiana, not only posted threatening messages on social media but also traveled to Washington, D.C., with the stated intention of carrying out her threats.

Jones was arrested on Saturday following an investigation by the Secret Service and was formally charged on Monday. In a statement, D.C. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro described the case as grave and emphasized that any threat to the life of a president will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

According to charging documents, investigators had been monitoring Jones’ online activity since early August. On August 6, she allegedly posted a disturbing message on Facebook in which she wrote that she was willing to “sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea.” The message was directed at the FBI and also referenced former Congresswoman Liz Cheney and “The Affirmation,” though prosecutors did not elaborate on the meaning of that phrase.

Authorities say Jones followed up with another post on August 14, this time directed at Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. In that message, she urged him to arrange what she described as the “arrest and removal ceremony” of Trump, whom she called a “terrorist on the American People,” per the Department of Justice. She even specified a time and location, the White House, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on August 16, 2025.

The Secret Service arranged to interview Jones the following day. During that meeting, which she attended voluntarily, she reportedly admitted that she would attempt to kill Trump “if the opportunity presented itself.” Agents said she mentioned using a bladed weapon and referenced “the compound,” though it is unclear exactly what she meant by the term. She allegedly told investigators that her motive was to “avenge all the lives lost during the Covid-19 pandemic” and that she considered Trump a “terrorist” and a “nazi.”

Despite these admissions, Jones later claimed she had no “present desire to harm” the former president. However, authorities were unconvinced. She was taken into custody the following day after attending a protest near the White House, where she again spoke with the Secret Service and acknowledged making threats online, according to the Daily Mail.

Jones now faces serious federal charges, including threatening to kill, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States, as well as transmitting interstate communications containing threats to injure or kidnap. Conviction on these charges could result in significant prison time.

“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution,” U.S. Attorney Pirro said in her statement. “Make no mistake, justice will be served.”

The case remains under investigation, and Jones is expected to appear in court in the coming days.
