Caprio earned the nickname “The Nicest Judge in the World” for his warmth, humor, and ability to see the good in people. Millions watched his televised rulings, where he often delivered grace, encouragement, and second chances instead of harsh punishments.

His family paid tribute to his character, saying:

“He will be remembered not only as a respected judge, but as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.”
