At 70, Bruce Willis, the iconic action star, now lives with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). To meet his specialized health needs, he has moved into a nearby single-story home. This residence is fully staffed with caregivers providing 24/7 support in a calm environment designed to minimize stress.

The decision, one of the hardest for his wife Emma, was made to ensure both Bruce’s safety and the stability of their young daughters, Mabel and Evelyn. Emma believes Bruce would have wanted a home that prioritized their children’s well-being over the limitations of his condition.

This separate living arrangement drew some public criticism. Emma responded with empathy, stating that those who haven’t been caregivers don’t get a vote. She shares their story not for judgment, but to raise awareness and build a supportive community for others.

Bruce’s condition has progressed significantly. Reports indicate he has lost the ability to speak, read, and walk without assistance. This is a stark contrast to his former image as a confident, agile Hollywood hero.
