Her heartbreaking d**th comes just under two weeks after she married her partner, Adriano. O’Connor, a native of County Durham, enjoyed a standout amateur boxing career. She captured a gold medal at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games, according to the New York Post. That same year, she secured a silver medal at the World Youth Championships, followed by a bronze in the 2018 edition of the tournament, solidifying her reputation as one of Britain’s most promising young fighters.

According to the New York Post, O’Connor began her professional boxing career in 2021 and remained undefeated in her first three bouts before receiving her ca**er diagnosis. Her final appearance in the ring came in October 2022, when she fought on the undercard of the high-profile matchup between former world champion Savannah Marshall and Claressa Shields.
